Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the U.S. and claims approximately 220,000 lives each year.  When SCA strikes, seconds mean the difference between life and death.  The use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) can increase the chances of survival by up to 30%.  For more information on purchasing an AED unit and training from your American Red Cross, please call Danetta Melde (361) 887-9991 Ext. 19.
