Students MUST pre-register for all training prior to the course.
Registration may be done in person at the American Red Cross Coastal Bend-Texas Chapter Building located at 1721 S. Brownlee Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78463, by phone, fax, or email with a credit card by contacting Curtis Melde MeldeC@cbtredcross.org or (361) 887-9991, Ext. 23 or by mail American Red Cross Coastal Bend-Texas Chapter, P. Registration information should include: Participant Name, Mailing Address, Phone #, Alternate Phone #, email (optional), which class and date, along with payment information.
All courses are taught at 1721 S. Brownlee Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78463 unless specified otherwise.
CPR for the PROFESSIONAL RESCUER - Lifeguard - Healthcare Provider - First Responder
Certifications: For lifeguards, the course remains a one-year certification. For Healthcare Providers and First Responders, the American Red Cross now offers a two-year certification for Healthcare Providers and Emergency Responders. Lifeguard certification remains one year.
2010 Dates: All from 6-10PM, July 6&8, August 3&5, September 21&23, October 12&14, November 2&4, December 7&9
Adult, Child, & Infant CPR/AED and First Aid
Certifications: Adult, Child, and Infant CPR is valid for 1 year and First Aid is valid for 3 years.
Cost - $55.00 includes training material, book, and administrative fees
Dates - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Classes held every Saturday - except Holiday Weekends
Classes also held on the following Tuesdays:
July 13, August 3, September 21, October 12, November 2, December 7
In 2010 NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD ON:
January 16 & 23, February 13, March 6, April 3, May 8, June 19
Adult CPR/AED/ First Aid
Certifications: Adult CPR valid 1 year, and First Aid Basics valid 3 years.
Cost - $55.00 includes training material, book, and administrative fees
Dates - 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
July 16, August 6, September 24, October 15, November 5, December 10
Adult CPR/AED
Certification: Certification is valid for 1 year.
Cost - $40.00 includes training material, book, and administrative fees
Dates - 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on all dates listed under First Aid/CPR Classes listed above. (Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays)
CPR/AED for Adults, Children, & Infants
Certification: Cetification is valid for 1 year
Cost - $50.00
Dates - 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on all dates listed under First Aid/CPR classes listed above. (Saturdays Only)
First Aid Only
Certification:Certification is valid for 3 years.
Cost - $40.00 includes training material, book, and administrative fees
Dates - 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 on all dates listed under First Aid/CPR classes listed above. (Fridays or Saturdays)
CPR Recertification
Purpose - To recertify individuals who currently hold any type of CPR certification.
Cost – Community CPR - $25.00 OR CPR for the Professional Rescuer - $30.00
Dates –
Monday Afternoons by appointment only
1:30 p.m. for Community CPR and
3:00 p.m. for CPR for Professional. (Pocket Mask Required or be prepared to purchase $15.10 with tax for the mask)
Students must make an appointment to come in during these hours to practice then test out on skills followed by the written exam.
Students must bring their current cards with them for verification and have their book if they wish to attend the recertification course
