Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the American Red Cross! The Red Cross delivers programs and services in our community through the support of people just like you - giving their time. This process is as easy as 1-2-3 :
1. Fill Out & Submit Application (application link below)

Fax your paperwork attention to Marg Paton at (361) 888-7558 or mail it to P.O. Box 3429, Corpus Christi, TX 78463-3429, or call the chapter for an appointment at (361) 887-9991, then bring your completed volunteer application by the office at 1721 S. Brownlee Blvd., in Corpus Christi, and meet with our Volunteer Coordinator, Marg Paton.
2. Opportunities & Background Check
Our chapter needs more volunteers to help and we have many exciting and rewarding volunteer opportunities available. To find out what opportunities are available in the chapter, click here and indicate your areas of interest on your volunteer application. This information will be used to find a suitable volunteer assignment for you.
As part of the process, you will also need to complete a basic background check at mybackgroundcheck.com. Once your background check is confirmed, the Orientation Coordinator will contact you and refer you to the department of interest to you. The department will provide you with additional information, training, and schedule your volunteer hours.

Module 1 — History
Viewing Time: 25 minutes including knowledge check
Module describes the history of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and the American Red Cross, the connection between the two and the Fundamental Principles.
Module 2 — Foundations
Viewing Time: 10 minutes including knowledge check
Module discusses our mission, organizational structure and strategic direction.
Module 3 — Key Services
Viewing Time: 20 minutes including knowledge check
Module illustrates the key services of the American Red Cross.
Module 4 — Our Commitments
Viewing Time: 12 minutes including knowledge check
Module describes how Red Cross employees and volunteers apply our values, practice total diversity and act within ethical standards to uphold the public trust.
By now, you know something of our history, foundations, key services and our commitment to total diversity, values and ethics. At this point in the orientation you are ready to speak to the Orientation Coordinator at your local Coastal Bend Texas Chapter to get started. Welcome to the American Red Cross!
